Sam Curran out of IPL and T20 World Cup
England all-rounder Sam Curran is ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2021 and the upcoming edition of T20 World Cup owing to a lower-back injury. The England & Wales Cricket Board confirmed the statement on Tuesday, October 5.
Sam’s brother Tom Curran who was earlier in the travelling reserves – replaced Sam Curran in the England’s T20 World Cup squad. Left-arm pacer Reece Topley has been added as a travelling reserve now.

“He [Sam Curran] will fly back to the UK in the next couple of days and will have further scans and a full review later this week from the ECB’s medical team,” the release stated.
