Maxwell walked in to bat as RCB were reduced to 9-2 in in 2 overs after Varun Chakravarthy got the wickets of Virat Kohli (5) and Rajat Patidar (1).

The Aussie batsman put on a 86 run partnership in 55 balls with Devdutt Padikkal (25) to bring RCB back in to commanding position. Maxwell scored his half century in just 28 balls as he tonked any challenge thrown at him by Eoin Morgan.

Maxwell later put on a 53 run partnership with AB de Villiers who took off after his fall. RCB were 148-4 in 17 overs at the fall of Glenn Maxwell who scored 78 runs in 49 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes

AB de Villiers was adjudged the Man of the match for his unbeaten 76 in 34 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes which propelled RCB to 204-4 in 20 overs.

AB was severe in the death as Andre Russell got spanked for 38 runs in his last 2 overs. de Villiers put on a 56 run partnership in just 18 balls with Kyle Jamieson in the end.

The New Zealand bowling all-rounder was promoted to bat at no.6 as he scored 11 runs in just 4 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six. He later picked 3 wickets for his team to dent KKR’s chasing ambitions.

Jamieson ended up leaking runs to Andre Russell but picked the valuable wickets of Shubman Gill, Shakib Al Hasan and Pat Cummins

Harshal Patel

On a day when runs were flowing all around – RCB specialist pacer Harshal Patel conceded just 17 runs in his 4 over spell and picked the wickets of Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell.

Harshal was introduced in to the attack in the 12th over of the innings when KKR needed to go big. He stemmed the run flow which put pressure on Eoin Morgan who eventually was dismissed in his 2nd over.

Harshal later picked the wicket of Andre Russell who looked in devastating form to wrap up the innings.

Andre Russell got tonked for 38 runs in his 2 overs in the death but he returned to smack 31 runs in 20 balls. This comes as a positive sign for KKR moving forward as the West Indian smacked 3 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.
