Team India T20I squad against New Zealand announced!
Team India announced their 16-member squad for the home T20I series against New Zealand. The three-match series will kick off from November 17. Rohit Sharma has been named the new skipper of the Indian T20I team. KL Rahul has been named the vice-capatain.
Among the 16-man T20I unit are Ruturaj Gaikwad, Harshal Patel, Venkatesh Iyer and Avesh Khan – who have performed for their respective franchises in IPL 2021.
Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya are rested for the series. Pacer Shardul Thakur and spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Rahul Chahar also missed the cut.
Leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has returned to the squad after missing out on the T20 World Cup selection.

The three T20Is will be played in Jaipur (November 17), Ranchi (November 19) and Kolkata (November 21). The squad for the two subsequent Tests, at Kanpur (November 25-29) and Mumbai (December 3-7), will be announced later.
Meanwhile, Jammu & Kashmir pacer Umran Malik who delivered the fastest delivery of IPL 2021 has been named in the India-A squad for the tour of South Africa. The 14-member squad will be led by Priyank Panchal and has the likes of Prithivi Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Rahul Chahar in it.
India-A will play three 4-day matches against South Africa-A in Bloemfontein. The series will begin on November 23.
