Mumbai Indians stole the match away from the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders – thanks to an all round bowling performance in the last 10 overs. KKR choked as it kept getting difficult for the batsmen to score.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav walked in early for Mumbai Indians as Quinton de Kock departed for a score of 2 in the 2nd over. He put on a 76 run partnership with Rohit Sharma in 51 balls.

The Mumbai batsman brought up his fifty with a stylish flick for a Six off the bowling of Pat Cummins. He scored 56 runs in 36 balls with the help of 7 fours & 2 sixes before being dismissed by Shakib Al Hasan.

Andre Russell

Russell was given the ball to bowl the 18th and 20th over of the innings and boy! Did he deliver!

The West Indies all-rounder picked 2 wickets in the 18th over and 3 wickets in the 20th over with 2 hat-trick opportunities. Russell picked the wickets of Kieron Pollard, Marco Jansen, Krunal Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar.

Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya scored a crucial 9 ball 15 in the end for Mumbai Indians and came strong with the ball with bowling figures of 4-0-13-1.

Krunal Pandya delivered 13 dot balls and choked KKR in crucial moments of the match. He got the wicket of Shakib Al Hasan which tightened the screws on KKR.

Nitish Rana

Nitish Rana registered his 2nd consecutive half century in IPL. His 57 in 47 balls powered by 6 fours and 2 sixes helped KKR dominate the chase against the mighty Mumbai attack.

Rana departed at a tricky stage of the match which put Mumbai Indians back in the hunt.

Rahul Chahar

The leg spinner dealt with the dew conditions to return bowling figures of 4-27.

Brought in the 9th over to bowl, Shubman Gill welcomed Rahul Chahar with a four and a six before mistiming the ball straight to Pollard at long off. He later picked the wickets of Rahul Chahar, Eoin Morgan and the all important Nitish Rana.

His spell put Mumbai Indians in the hunt despite KKR’s dominance in the match.
