Guyana Amazon Warriors retained as much as 11 players for the upcoming edition of Hero Caribbean Premier League. They announced wicket keeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran as their new captain. Pooran was the only player to score a century in CPL 2020.

The Warriors retained 2 overseas sign ups Imran Tahir (South Africa) and Naveen ul Haq (Afghanistan). This comes as a refreshing move as other CPL teams have unloaded their overseas players.

Openers Brandon Kings and Chandrapal Hemraj made it back in to the team along with all-rounder Romario Shepherd.

Star batsman Shimron Hetmyer was a no brainer retention as he returns after a fruitful IPL season.

Spinner Kevin Sinclair who recently made it to the national team also made the cut along fellow Guyanese Ashmead Nedd, both of whom impressed in 2020 at their first Hero CPL. 30 year old wicket keeper-batsman Anthony Bramble also gets another go with the team.
