KL Rahul ruled out of Australia tour

Indian batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining Tests in Australia after suffering a wrist injury in the nets at MCG.

“KL Rahul sprained his left wrist while batting in the nets” on Saturday and that it would take “three weeks time to recover completely and regain full strength.” – said a statement from BCCI

KL Rahul is the third Indian player to be injured during the series. He will now join Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav at the National Cricket Academy rehabilitation centre at Bengaluru.

With KL Rahul gone India has Prithvi Shaw as the lone back up opening option. It has to be seen where Rohit Sharma will be slotted to bat in the Sydney Test.

Team India are scheduled to play Australia in the Sydney Test on 7th of January.
