Ashwin’s wife trolls Tim Paine

A enthralling day’s play at Sydney on Day 5 – it was nothing short of action off the field either. Australia captain Tim Paine got in to a banter with Ravichandran Ashwin when he got together with Hanuma Vihari to test Aussie patience on the field. R Ashwin’s wife who is also in the bio-secure bubble got to twitter to lighten the mood with her witty tweet.

Australian captain chirped behind the wickets when Ashwin was on strike to face Nathan Lyon – “I can’t wait to get you to the Gabba.” To which the Indian all-rounder replied “Just like you want to get to India? Maybe your last series.”

“Are you a selector here as well? At least my teammates like me. (Wade’s) got more Indian friends than you. Even your teammates think you’re a goose.”

Ashwin took his time to bat and was in no rush to get back to face Lyon during the banter. Enter Prithi Ashwin and her tweet which was hilarious as she asked her husband to imagine their daughter crying and ignore Paine. Life has come full circle for Tim Paine after this tweet, as he asked Rishabh Pant to take over baby sitting duties at Hobart the last time round when India toured Australia.

Later Prithi mentioned that Ashwin was in pain early this morning with back issues and praised her husband for pulling off a knock full of guts along with Hanuma Vihari.

The Test series is now level with each team winning one Test. The decider will take place at The Gabba, Brisbane from 15th of January. Team India faced a few injury blows during the Sydney Test and it will be interesting to see what changes will be forced in a matter of just three days.

Indian back ups include Wriddhiman Saha, Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw and Kuldeep Yadav.
