Rajasthan Royals announce new captain
Rajasthan Royals have bid adieu to Steve Smith in the IPL retention list – meaning they will now have a new skipper. Wicket keeper batsman Sanju Samson has been given the responsibility for the IPL 2021 season.

Kerala based wicket keeper batsman Sanju Samson who has been in the Royals unit from the start is now their new skipper. Samson scored 2584 runs at 27.78 average including 2 centuries and 13 half centuries for the RR franchise.
