Babar Azam is the new Pakistan Test captain

Babar Azam is appointed as the new Test captain of Pakistan cricket team. He will replace Azhar Ali who led Pakistan in 8 Test matches in his 2nd stint as captain managing to win just 2 Tests.

Babar’s first assignment as Test captain comes in the form of Pakistan tour of New Zealand where Pakistan will play the blackcaps in 2 Tests as a part of ICC World Test Championship. [1st Test Mount Maunganui (Dec 26-30) & 2nd Test Christchurch (Jan 3-7) ]
