India Women’s squads for the tour of England announced
Team India announced 18-member Test & ODI squad along with 17-member T20I squad for the India Women’s Tour of England. 17-year-old Shafali Varma earned her maiden call up to ODI and Test squad.
Ramesh Powar has been named the head coach of the team replacing WV Raman. Powar last coached the Indian national team in 2018 when he had a bitter falling out with Mithali Raj over her exclusion from the T20 World Cup semis playing 11.
The ODI and Test Squad is led by veteran cricketer Mithali Raj while the T20I squad is led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Harmanpreet Kaur will be the deputy for Mithali Raj in Test and ODIs while opener Smriti Mandhana is named as the vice-captain for the T20Is.
