England to play New Zealand in home Test series in June 2021

England will host New Zealand for two Test matches in June 2021 which will kick start the home team’s season this summer.

New Zealand haven’t featured in a Test series in England since 2015. The ICC No.1 ranked team will play hosts England in the first Test at Lord’s from June 2-6 while Edgbaston will host the second Test from June 10-14

This will be New Zealand’s first International match at Lord’s since the 2019 World Cup final.

The announcement means England is set to host seven Tests this summer, with India scheduled to play a five-match series starting in August 2021.

New Zealand is on track to qualify for the final of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship. The dates for the finals are not confirmed amid the coronavirus pandemic but it was scheduled for June at Lord’s.

England also announced a three-match T20 Series against Sri Lanka at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on June 23 and 24 and the Ageas Bowl in Southampton on June 26, starting before a three-match ODI series against the same opponents.
