Dale Steyn out of IPL 2021
Proteas pacer Dale Steyn opted out of the next IPL season to give himself some time off. The right arm fast bowler took to twitter to announce his unavailability to play for any team this season.
Dale Steyn picked just 1 wicket in 3 matches for RCB in the 2020 edition of IPL. The RCB pacer has a prolific IPL record taking 97 wickets in 95 matches at an average of 25.85 with a stunning economy rate of 6.91 – exceptional for a bowler who bowls in powerplay and death overs.
Dale Steyn clarified on twitter that he will be available for other T20 leagues this year and has not retired from the game as such. Here are his tweets confirming his decision:
My dream team will feature Marcus Trescothick and Anil Kumble
