Mohammad Amir retires from International Cricket

In a shocking turn of events, 28 year old Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir conveyed his decision to retire from all forms of International Cricket to Pakistan Cricket Board.

The left arm pacer was vocal about the differences and the mental trauma he is facing with the new management and was set to take an indefinite break.

Mohammad Amir represented Pakistan in 147 International matches and took 259 wickets. His stellar performance with the ball in the finals of Champions Trophy 2017 helped Pakistan clinch the championship. Amir made his International debut in the year 2009 at the age of 17. His debut match was a T20I against England on June 7, 2009. He got the wicket of Ravi Bopara in just the 2nd ball of his International career.

Amir said in a video interview with Pakistani channel Samaa that he would be reaching Pakistan in a few more days (from Sri Lanka, where he has been playing the Lanka Premier League) and release a more detailed note stating his reasons, but said that it is clear to him that he cannot continue playing for under the current management.
