Team India hit by Covid-19 scare – Ishan Kishan & Mayank Agarwal added to ODI squad.
Indian cricket team has been hit by Covid-19 cases ahead of the ODI series against West Indies. 7 members of Indian cricket team, including staff members and players tested positive. Among the players who tested positive were Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer and net bowler Navdeep Saini.
Mayank Agarwal and Ishan Kishan have been added to the ODI squad to combat the setback the team has faced just days before the ODI series. The Indian team is currently under going a three-day isolation period post their break from the South Africa series.
Mayank Agarwal featured for Team India in 5 ODIs scoring 86 runs at an average of 17.20 with a highest score of 32. Ishan Kishan played just 2 ODIs for India and scored 60 runs with a highest score of 59 powered by a strike rate of 130.43.

The 3 match ODI series is set to take place at Motera’s Narendra Modi Stadium from Fenruary 6. It would be India’s 1000th ODI cricket match.
