RCB vs SRH: Match Report – SRH pull off a win in death overs!

Sunrisers Hyderabad handed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB vs SRH) a defeat and dented their chances to finish in Top 2 on the IPL 2021 points table. Virat Kohli won the toss early on elect to bowl as SRH managed to scamper to 141-7 in 20 overs after a good start provided by Jason Roy and Kane WIlliamson (84-2 in 11.3 overs). RCB lost 3 wickets for 38 runs by 6.5 overs mark but Glenn Maxwell show resurrected the innings with the team needing 50 runs in the last 36 balls with 7 wickets in hand.

A brilliant direct hit by Kane Williamson removed the all important wicket of Glenn Maxwell to give the SRH fans a glimmer of hope. Some really experienced bowling by the SRH pacers held the noose tight on RCB in the chase. Jason Holder and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s experience in the last 2 overs delivered a sweet win for the Hyderabad franchise.

Pacer Umran Malik registered the fastest ball of the tournament when he fired in a 152.95 kmph delivery. The Kashmiri pacer now occupies 3 spots in the Top 5 fastest balls of IPL 2021 overtaking 152.75 kmph delivery by Lockie Ferguson (KKR).
