I am continuing to go with Steve Smith as my captain after the successful last stint. His batting touch looks like artist at work right now and it was a pure joy to watch him so far. Smith averages 98.00 at Manuka Oval in the 3 innings he played here. Aussie skipper Aaron Finch has the most runs at this venue scoring 273 runs in 4 innings.

I am going with Virat Kohli as vice captain at this venue. The Indian captains seems to have found his touch in the last match – he scored a century against Australia the last time these 2 teams met at Canberra. KL Rahul is one those players I considered making my vice captain.

All rounders wise am going with Hardik Pandya and Glenn Maxwell – I had to drop Ravindra Jadeja to accommodate an additional batsman.

Bowling wise am persisting with Mohammed Shami and Adam Zampa. I think it is just about time I finally pick Jasprit Bumrah in this series, so there you go- for the first time in this ODI series I picked him. If he is rested in this dead rubber, you can consider going with Josh Hazlewood or Shardul Thakur (if he plays). Mitchell Starc who is currently out of form has the most wickets (7) at this venue and could be a perfect stage for his come back if he is not rested.

A possibility of playing Kuldeep Yadav – could be tempting enough to draft him in our team for the unseen variety he provides against Australia.
