Moeen Ali
The CSK all-rounder stepped up his game to deliver with both the bat and ball. He broke the short but resurrecting partnership between Shahrukh Khan and Jhye Richardson when he bowled out the Australian for 15 runs.
With the bat Moeen Ali looked in sublime touch finding gaps and smacking boundaries. He walked in to bat at No.3 and scored 46 runs in 31 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. His knock put CSK in commanding seat in the chase of 107 runs.
Faf du Plessis
Proteas batsman Faf du Plessis was dismissed for a duck in the first match but this time he spent the time at the crease and took no real risk as he kept the run flow going after CSK lost Ruturaj Gaikwad early in the chase.
Faf remained unbeaten on 36 runs in 33 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six which saw CSK cross the winning line to register their first win of IPL 2021.
