Rajasthan Royals came from behind to clinch a memorable win against Delhi Capitals powered by a big bucks man Chris Morris’ slog. A surprisingly below par score at Wankhede had a roller coaster twists and turns with fans guessing who would be the winner till the last over!

Jaydev Unadkat

Unadkat has made an astounding comeback for Rajasthan Royals by picking 3 wickets for 15 runs in his 4 over spell with 15 dot balls in it. The Royals pacer wrecked the Delhi Capitals top order in the powerplay.

The left arm pacer was given the new ball to bowl and he removed Prithvi Shaw for just 1 run. He got the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan in his 2nd over. He got his 3rd and final wicket in his 3rd over removing Ajinkya Rahane for 8 runs.

The Royals pacer won the Man of the Match award for his performance.

Rishabh Pant

The newly instated Delhi Capitals captain rescued the team from a position of 37-5 to safety. He put on a 51 run partnership with debutant Lalit Yadav.

Rishabh Pant hit 32 ball 51 with the help of 9 fours before succumbing to a unfortunate run out via a brilliant throw by Riyan Parag of his own bowling.

Avesh Khan

Once again, the young pacer from Delhi Capitals delivered for his team. He got the wickets of Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia.

Avesh Khan’s 3 for 32 set RR to score 43 runs to win in the last 4 overs with just 3 wickets in hand.

David Miller

David Miller walked in to bat at No.5 with the team struggling in the chase of 148 runs at 17-3 in 3.3 overs. Only Miller registered a double figures score in the Royals Top 6 batsmen list.

He saw wickets fall around him but was a constant source of runs for RR in the chase. Miller reached his half century in 40 balls and then went on to hit 2 back to back sixes off Avesh Khan before being caught trying for the 3rd consecutive maximum.

The Proteas batsman scored 62 runs in 43 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. He kept Royals alive in the run chase.

Chris Morris

The Proteas all-rounder was below par with the ball once again conceding 27 runs in his 3 over spell but picked the wicket of Lalit Yadav (20 in 24 balls) on debut.

Morris walked in to bat at No.8 after the departure of Rahul Tewatia at 90-6 in 14.5 overs. He slogged 36 runs in just 18 balls with the help of 4 sixes. The Royals all-rounder helped his team cross the line with 2 balls to spare.

Needing 12 runs to win in the last over, Morris hit 2,6,0,6 against Tom Curran to help his team to their first points in IPL 2021.
