Team India bowled out for 329 runs in the ODI series decider

England won the toss and elect to bowl in the 3rd ODI. This was the 3rd consecutive loss for Virat Kohli’s Team India in the ODI series.

Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were off to a very positive start with the duo bringing up the 50 in 8 overs. Dhawan especially looked good with his timing and stroke play as he reached his 32nd ODI half century in 44 balls.

The duo put on a 100-run partnership in 14 overs. 4 balls later Adil Rashid’s googly bowled out Rohit Sharma for a run a ball 37. Virat Kohli walked into bat at the score at 103-1 in 14.4 overs.

In his next over Rashid removed Shikhar Dhawan with yet another googly which produced a return catch. Dhawan departed for a well made 67 in 56 balls. The very next over Moeen Ali’s floaty off spinner castled captain Kohli who made too much room to get himself in to trouble.

KL Rahul walked into bat at No.5 to join Rishabh Pant at the crease at 121-3 in 17.4 overs. The quick wickets stemmed the run flow and the run rate fell below 7 runs per over!

The wicketkeeper batsmen duo put a partnership of 36 runs to steady the things in the middle but a inspirational bowling change by captain Jos Buttler got rid of KL Rahul who was stuck at 7 in 18 balls.

Liam Livingstone got the wicket of Rahul in his very first over in International cricket.

The stage was now set for Pant-Hardik counterattack! The pair stepped up on the gas to peddle the run rate over 7 runs per over again. India reached the 200 mark in 29.2 overs.

The very over Sam Curran’s full delivery got rid of Rishabh Pant for 78 in 62 balls. The duo put on a partnership of 99 runs in 73 ball for the sixth wicket.

Hardik Pandya got to his 7th ODI half ton in 36 balls as he tried to put on a firm stand with his brother Krunal Pandya, but Ben Stokes bowled out Hardik (66 in 44 balls) with India suddenly on the edge at 276-6 in 39 overs.

Shardul Thakur played some attractive shots to keep the run rate going as Krunal played the second fiddle. They put a partnership of 45 runs as India reached the 300 mark in 43.3 overs. Thakur scored 30 runs in 21 balls with the help of 3 sixes to his name before getting caught behind off Mark Wood.
