Anrich Nortje made his return to IPL but it was a forgettable night as he conceded 35 runs in 2.2 overs before being removed from the attack for bowling two beamers in the innings. Quinton de Kock was severe at Nortje as he welcomed his countryman with a 19 run over.
Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets and LSG had a scare in the end with back-to-back good overs from Mustafizur Rahman and Shardul Thakur. Needing 19 runs to win in the last 2 overs, Krunal Pandya redeemed himself with Deepak Hooda as he hit a 6 and ran two doubles off the Fizz to bring the equation to 5 runs to win in 6 balls.
Ayush Badoni walked in to bat in place of Deepak Hooda as Shardul picked a wicket off the first ball of the over. Badoni continued his great run as he hit a four and six to finish the match in style with two balls remaining.
