IPL Player Retentions – Players and Purse Remaining

Franchises have announced the IPL Player Retentions ahead of the mega auction to be held in early 2022. Each team is given 90 crore INR walking in to the IPL mega auction. The purse is deducted based on the number of players retained by each team.

KL Rahul and Rashid Khan have opted to go in to the auction process as Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad had to leave them out.

Here are the player retentions of 8 IPL teams and their remaining salary purse:

Chennai Super Kings – Player Retentions

• Moeen Ali – 8 crore INR
• Ruturaj Gaikwad – 6 crore INR

Major players released: Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, Suresh Raina, Deepak Chahar

Salary Purse Remaining: 48 crore INR

Delhi Capitals Player Retentions:

• Rishabh Pant  – 16 crore INR
• Axar Patel – 9 crore INR
• Prithvi Shaw – 7.5 crore INR
• Anrich Nortje – 6.5 crore INR

Major players released: Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Avesh Khan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada

Salary Purse Remaining: 47.5 crore INR

Kolkata Knight Riders Player Retentions:
