Jamaica Tallawahs – CPL 2021 – Updated Squad

Jamaica Tallawahs brought in Chris Green and Shamarh Brooks to replace Shakib Al Hasan and Ibrahim Zadran in their squad for the upcoming edition of Caribbean Premier League.

Chris Green who has also played for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the past, played 115 T20 matches picking 97 wickets at an average of 26.94 conceding 7.03 runs per over. He has 1 5 wicket haul and 1 4 wicket haul to his name with a best of 5-32. Green scored 675 runs at a strike rate of 125.69. His highest score in t20 cricket is 49.

Chris Green joins Qais Ahmed, Migael Pretorius and Haider Ali in the overseas camp of Tallawahs.

The domestic sign ups include Kennar Lewis, Abhijai Mansingh, Joshua James, Kirk McKenzie and Jason Mohammed.

29-year old Kennar Lewis is known for his top order batting skills, has played in the T10 league in Abu Dhabi for the Pune Devils team. 24-year old Abhijai Mansingh represented Jamaica at the U-19 level and is known for his batting skills and occasional leg spin. Mansingh just played 1 List A match in competitive cricket.

Jason Mohammed represented West Indies in 34 ODIs and 9 T20Is. The 34-year old can add value to the team with his experience with both bat and ball.

20-year old Joshua James represented West Indies in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2020 edition. He is known to be a bowling all-rounder. He is yet to play any competitive match in his career.

Another U-19 World Cup prodigy Kirk McKenzie was drafted in Tallawahs squad. McKenzie was one of the prolific performers in the 2020 edition of ICC U-19 World Cup. The 20-year old has scored 152 runs in his 5 innings at an average of 82.60 in the tourney.

Clearly Jamaica Tallawahs is looking in to infuse fresh blood in to the team this time round.

The tournament gets away from August 26. The CPL 2021 final is scheduled to place on September 15.
