Virat Kohli is the No.1 batsman says Mohammad Yousuf

Former Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf heaped rich praise on India captain Virat Kohli, saying he is the No.1 batsman of the current era and his performances have been unbelievable.

Talking on a YouTube Show Cricast to host Sawera Pasha, the former Pakistan cricketer admired the fitness and training regimen of Indian captain.

“I’ve never seen him practice but have followed some of his training videos on Twitter and other places. In today’s era, if someone asks me what is modern cricket, I’d say it’s about training. The players today are fit and fast, as is Virat Kohli, which is the reason behind his terrific performances.”, said Mohammad Yousuf.

“He has 70 centuries in ODIs and Tests combined. In ODIs, he has some 12000 runs and is approaching the 10,000 mark in Tests as well. In T20I as well, he has some great numbers. His performance in all three formats is high-class. In today’s era, he is the No.1 batsman. I have earlier said as well that comparisons with players of the previous era is unfair. Despite that, his performances are unbelievable.”, added Mohammad Yousuf.

Mohammad Yousuf represented Pakistan in 90 Tests, 288 ODIs and 3 T20I matches. He scored 7530 Test runs, 9720 ODI runs and 50 T20I runs for his country. He has recorded 39 International centuries for his country.

He also praised Babar Azam among the current set of Pakistan cricketers as he stands outs because of his hard work and training which is paying off his rewards for the God gifted talent he has.
