Team India Women’s Annual Contract List – All Player Salaries
The Indian trio Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and leg spinner Poonam Yadav bagged the Grade A contract in BCCIs central contracts which were announced on Wednesday, May 19. The top tier earn 50 lakh INR per year.
The 3 grade contract system categorizes players on basis of their contributions and availability to different formats of the game. Grade A players earn 50 lakh per year, Grade B players earn 30 lakh per year, while Grade C cricketers make 10 lakh per year.
Shafali Verma who recently earned her maiden ODI and Test call up earned a jump up to Grade B salary in BCCI’s central contracts for season 2020-21.
Punam Raut who had been consistent in her previous series also has seen a rise from Grade C to B. The right handed batter scored 2267 ODI runs for her team in 72 matches recording 3 centuries and 15 half centuries. In the recent ODI series against South Africa she scored 2 half centuries and a century.
Left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad has seen the rise from Grade C to Grade B after finishing as the top wicket taker in the ODI and T20I series against South Africa.
The major omission from the contracts come in the form of Veda Krishnamurthy who has been dropped from the white ball team. She last appeared for Team India in ODIs in April 2018. Her last International match was during the T20 World Cup in 2020.
Other players who missed out on the contract this time are Ekta Bisht, Dayalan Hemalatha and Anuja Patil.
Grade A – INR 50 Lakh per year:
Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Poonam Yadav.
Grade B – INR 30 Lakh per year:
Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma, Punam Raut, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shafali Verma, Radha Yadav, Shikha Pandey, Taniya Bhatia, Jemimah Rodrigues.
Grade C – INR 10 Lakh per year:
Mansi Joshi, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Harleen Deol, Priya Punia, Richa Ghosh.
