Washington Sundar names his pup after a cricket stadium
Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar had a rollicking year on the cricket field and he has taken one of his most beautiful memories and named it to life!
On Saturday Washington Sundar introduced the world his newest member of the fam – a furry pet. He named it after the venue he made his debut at.
Washington Sundar made his Test debut at the Gabba, Brisbane against Australia this year. He picked 3 wickets in the first innings and followed it up with a crucial knock of 62 along with a match saving partnership with Shardul Thakur. He also picked the crucial wicket of David Warner in the 2nd innings and followed it up with a quick 22 in the 2nd innings as a part of a historic chase.
The fans had opinions divided over this as few felt it was disrespectful of the opponents and venues. Meanwhile others came in support of this gesture by the Indian all-rounder.
