The Delhi opener looked in sublime touch as he put on a 81 run opening stand with Shikhar Dhawan (28). He was quite severe in the powerplay which helped Delhi Capitals reach the 50 mark in 6 overs.

Shaw scored 53 runs in 39 balls powered by 7 fours and 1 six. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his performance.

Rishabh Pant – 37 (27)

Captain Rishabh Pant walked in to bat at No.3 for Delhi Capitals. He scored 37 runs in 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six to keep the run flow going.

He put on a partnership of 58 runs with Steven Smith for the 3rd wicket. The captain also affected a run out of David Warner and stumped out Kedar Jadhav while defending 159 runs.

Jonny Bairstow – 38 (18)

England batsman Jonny Bairstow was once again displayed prolific form as he smashed 38 runs in 18 balls. He smashed 3 fours and 4 sixes. He gave SRH a great start in the power play as they managed to score 56 runs in 5.4 overs at the fall of Bairstow’s wicket.

Bairstow tried taking advantage of the last over of powerplay but fell as he tried to clear the mid on fielder but ended by being caught at mid on by Shikhar Dhawan.

Kane Williamson – 66 (51)

Kiwi batsman Kane Williamson remained unbeaten on 66 runs in 51 balls with the help of 8 boundaries – all of them fours!

Williamson’s classic knock on a slow wicket is a guide to batsmen on how to bat on tricky wickets like this. He rotated the strike and hit the odd boundary to keep SRH in the hunt. They came so near but it was not enough as the scores ended in a tie.

Axar Patel – 2/26

The left arm spinner who returned to the team after missing out the first few matches due to COVID-19, bowled the crucial 17th over of the match when SRH needed 43 runs to win in 4 overs.

He got the wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Rashid Khan off the first 2 balls of the over and conceded just 4 runs in that over. He finished with bowling figures of 4-0-26-2.

He bowled the super over for Delhi Capitals and conceded just 7 runs in the over – which was chased down by Rishabh Pant and Shikhar Dhawan.
