IPL 2021: Kane Williamson gives update on his fitness

Sunrisers Hyderabad are working hard to get back their star batsman Kane Williamson back in to the attack with the batting order failing to chase down targets. The cool headed New Zealand batsman pioneered in helping SRH chase down targets in previous seasons which helped the team to realize their play-off dreams

In a video update released by Sunrisers Hyderabad social media handle, Kane Williamson said recovery is going well and the focus is to get pain free as quickly as possible. He also mentioned they are in track to get him fit with in a week.

The experience of Kane Williamson will bolster the Sunrisers with a much strengthened leadership group in play. His calm head during building partnerships will come in as a massive boost for the team.

Kane Williamson scored 1619 IPL runs at an average of 39.48 and a strike rate of 134.80. He registered 15 half centuries for his team.

In IPL 2018 Williamson led the team to the finals and won the Orange Cap that season for scoring 735 runs in 17 matches at an average of 52.50. He hit 8 half centuries that season.

With the Sunrisers talisman optimistic about a quick recovery and back in to the playing 11, SRH fans can breathe easy as it is still very early in the tournament.
