IPL 2021: Anrich Nortje joins Delhi Capitals training camp
Good news for Delhi Capitals fans as their ace pacer Anrich Nortje is back fit and available. The Proteas pacer posted a photo on his instagram handle as he trained with the Delhi Capitals team.
Nortje posted saying “Feels so good to be out and training again.”
Nortje who came under the COVID-19 scanner is now cleared and deemed fit after further test results.
Nortje had a remarkable debut season in IPL picking 22 wickets in 16 matches he played for the Delhi franchise. He was the fourth highest wicket taker in the IPL 2020 edition. He along with Kagiso Rabada formed a great pace attack for the Capitals last season.
Delhi Capitals won their first match against CSK but failed in defending the target against Rajasthan Royals. Tom Curran who took the overseas spot had a less than average outing on both occasions conceding 1/40 (4 overs v CSK) & 0/35 (3.4 overs v RR).
The South African pacer is likely to take Curran’s place as Delhi Capitals fans will get to rejoice the pace combination of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje together again!
The combination of Rabada and Nortje picked 53 wickets in IPL 2020 which was one of the main reasons for Delhi entering the finals.
My dream team will feature Marcus Trescothick and Anil Kumble
