Prithvi Shaw scores double century in Vijay Hazare Trophy
21 year old Mumbai captain Prithvi Shaw scored his maiden double century in List A cricket during his knock against Puducherry in Vijay Hazare Trophy match. Mumbai batsman Suryakumar Yadav also made merry with a century as his team registered a total over 400.
Prithvi Shaw stayed unbeaten 227 in 152 balls on with the help of 31 fours and 5 sixes! Shaw was captaining Mumbai in the absence of Shreyas Iyer who picked up an injury in the earlier fixture.
World Record
At the age of 21, Prithvi Shaw became the youngest captain to score a List A double century!
It is also the highest score by a captain in List A history!
He is the 8th Indian batsman overall to score a Double Century in List A Cricket
This was indeed the first time Prithvi was leading Mumbai in a match!
