New Zealand T20 squad against Australia announced

New Zealand announced their T20 International squad for the five match series against Australia. The 14 member squad includes standby for Martin Guptill who has his fitness test pending. 21 year old wicket keeper batsman Finn Allen who had an exceptional Super Smash tournament, has been named as his standby.

Finn Allen who has been included as the standby for Martin Guptill boasts a T20 strike rate of 183.27 in 13 matches he played. He scored 537 runs at an average of 48.81 with a best of 93*

The five match series begins on 22nd February at Christchurch followed by a second match at Dunedin on 25th. The third T20I is scheduled to take place at Wellington on 3rd March while the fourth match of the series will take place at Auckland on 5th March. The last and final T20I will take place at Mount Maunganui on 7th March, 2021.
