Sophie Devine records the fastest Women’s T20 Century

New Zealand’s Sophie Devine smashed the fastest women’s T20 century in 36 balls playing for Wellington in a Super Smash match against Otago. She has now scored 6 T20 centuries in her career – 4 of which have come from the start of the year 2020.

Devine has struck an unbeaten 108 in 38 balls with the help of 9 fours and 9 sixes. What was remarkable was Wellington Women were chasing just 129 runs to win and Sophie Devine’s partner captain Maddy Green scored just 20 runs in the partnership as records broke at University Oval at Dunedin.
