England announce Test squad against India – Stokes and Archer are back

England announced 16 member squad for the first 2 Tests against India. Pacer Jofra Archer and All-rounder Ben Stokes who were exempted from the series against Sri Lanka return to the team.

England Test Squad for first 2 Tests:

Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Dom Bess, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Zak Crawley, Ben Foakes, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Ben Stokes, Olly Stone, Chris Woakes, Dom Sibley

The squad sees the return of opener Rory Burns and packs a full punch with the return of ICC Test no.1 all-rounder Ben Stokes and pacer Jofra Archer.

Cricketers James Bracey, Mason Crane, Saqib Mahmood, Matt Parkinson, Ollie Robinson and Amar Vardi will be the reserves for the first 2 Tests against India at Chennai.

The series kicks off with the first Test on February 5th at Chennai. The second Test is also played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai starting from February 13. The teams then move to Motera’s Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad for the third and fourth Tests which are scheduled on February 24th and March 4th respectively.
