Mohammad Shahzad uses Suryakumar Yadav’s bat in T10 League
T10 League fever is catching up from Abu Dhabi to all over the world. We even got a Indian connection in the tournament via Afghanistan batsman’s bat
Afghanistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad was seen batting with the “SKY 77” label which we have seen being used by Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav in his domestic stints.
Shahzad who plays for Deccan Gladiators opened his innings with Cameron Delport. MS was seen batting with the label SKY 77.
The Afghanistan keeper batsman had no sponsor logo on the bat but had the inscription “SKY 77” – The bat which Suryakumar Yadav used in UAE during a successful campaign with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020.
Shahzad scored a quick 27 in 17 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six before being stumped by Ben Dunk of the bowling of Shahid Afridi.
Indian fans remember Shahzad for his whirlind century against India in a Asia Cup match – which was also MS Dhoni’s 200th match as Indian captain. The match ended in a tie.
Shahzad was snubbed mid way during the 2019 World Cup and ever since we have seen him only in the T20 league action.
My dream team will feature Marcus Trescothick and Anil Kumble
