Arjun Tendulkar makes his T20 debut
Arjun Tendulkar made his T20 debut today – his first ever professional cricket match, when Mumbai took on Haryana in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture.
Arjun Tendulkar was asked to bat down the order at No.11 for his state team Mumbai – where he just walked in as a non-striker in the final over. He didn’t get to face any balls. With the ball Arjun Sachin Tendulkar claimed his first wicket of the first ball of his second over. His maiden wicket was Chaitanya Bishnoi. Bishnoi nicked one behind stumps to wicket keeper Aditya Tare for just 4 runs – to mark the left arm pacer’s first ever competitive cricket wicket.
Arjun finished the match with bowling figures of 1/34 in 3 overs.
