Sudeep Tyagi retires
33 year old Indian pacer Sudeep Tyagi has announced retirement from all formats of the game. Tyagi represented India in 4 ODIs and 1 T20I – picking 3 wickets. He represented CSK in 14 IPL matches in 2009 & 2010 seasons.
Tyagi made his International debut in 2009 in a T20I against Sri Lanka at Mohali. He also made his ODI debut against the same team at New Delhi where he got his maiden wicket in the form of Kumar Sangakkara.
The Ghaziabad born pacer has 109 First Class wickets, 31 List A wickets & 16 T20 wickets to his name. Tyagi made his First Class debut against Orissa where he produced bowling figures of 6/46 & 4/46 in a winning cause for Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly Sudeep Tyagi is the first ever bowler and still the only bowler to bowl out AB de Villiers off the first ball of his innings.
I have achieved what is every player’s dream to represent the country and wearing the Indian flag is a dream I lived. I want to thank MS Dhoni under whom I played my first ODI. I want to thank my role models Mohammad Kaif, RP Singh and Suresh Raina. It is very difficult to do this but to move ahead we must let go.
– Sudeep Tyagi, Indian Cricketer
My dream team will feature Marcus Trescothick and Anil Kumble
