New Zealand announce T20I & Test squads v Windies
New Zealand cricket picked squads for the home series against West Indies featuring 3 T20Is and 2 Tests. South Africa born Auckland Aces batsman Devon Conway got selected in the T20I squad along with Kyle Jamieson who made an impressive debut against India. Jamieson also managed to secure his spot in Test squad. The T20I unit will also see the return of Glenn Phillips who has been prolific in the CPL 2020 edition scoring 316 runs at a strike rate of 127.41 in 10 matches.
Kane Williamson and Trent Boult are exempted from the T20I squad as they form a crucial part of New Zealand red ball team amidst the hunt for a World Test Championship final. Colin Munro has been exempted from the team due to his Big Bash League commitment.
The T20 series begins on November 27th at Eden Park, Auckland.

We’ve had to make a decision on Kane and Trent to prioritise the Test matches, given how important they are to our red-ball team and the fact they both played such big roles in the recent IPL while also managing injuries. There’s no secret we’re right in the hunt for the World Test Championship Final following our two-nil win over India and having Trent and Kane fully fit and focussed for the upcoming series will be crucial.
– Gary Stead, NZ head coach
My dream team will feature Marcus Trescothick and Anil Kumble
