RCB vs KKR – IPL 2022 Report: RCB snatch a low scoring thriller

RCB vs KKR – Match 6 – IPL 2022 Report: KKR and RCB featured in a low scoring thriller at DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. KKR were reduced to 67-6 in 9 overs as RCB bowlers kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Andre Russell show cased some big hits in his 18-ball 25 to take KKR to respectable total. The 10th wicket stand of 27 runs between Umesh Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy helped KKR to 128 runs, but they failed to play their full quota of overs.

Chasing 129 runs to win, RCB lost their top 3 batters with the score at 17 runs. David Willey and Sherfane Rutherford steadied the innings with a 45-run stand. Sherfane Rutherford’s 28 in 40 balls revived RCB as their finishers took control. Shahbaz Ahmed sizzled smacking 3 sixes which pushed the equation in favour of RCB. Tim Southee troubled RCB by picking wickets of Faf, Rutherford and Hasaranga but in the end it was the experience of Dinesh Karthik and handy boundaries from Harshal Patel that helped RCB cross the line.
