IPL Hattricks – from L Balaji to Y Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal is the latest cricketer to record a hat-trick in IPL history when he removed Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins in the last three deliveries of his bowling spell. A total of 21 IPL hattricks are recorded so far. Chahal is the fifth bowler from Rajasthan Royals to achieve this fear. No other team has more IPL hattricks than the Royals.
Leg spinner Amit Mishra achieved the feat thrice while all-rounder Yuvraj Singh achieved it twice. Out of the 21 IPL hattricks, 7 were achieved by leg spinners.
A total of eight pacers achieved this feat – Lakshmipathy Balaji, Makhaya Ntini, Praveen Kumar, Shane Watson, Andrew Tye, Jaydev Unadkat, Sam Curran and Harshal Patel were the pacers to achieve IPL hattricks.
Samuel Badree is the only overseas spinner to achieve an IPL hattrick.
