GT vs CSK – Match 29 – IPL 2022 Report: Chennai Super Kings lost their fifth match out of six in IPL 2022. Ruturaj Gaikwad show cased his classic form in his knock of 73 in 48 balls to help his team to 169-5 in 20 overs.
Maheesh Theekshana created panic in the Gujarat camp as they were reduced to 16-3 in 3.5 overs. Very soon they lost their fourth wicket at the score of 48 and CSK were in charge. David Miller smacked his way to 28-ball half-century during as 19-run over off captain Ravindra Jadeja.
The introduction of Dwayne Bravo saw the exit of Rahul Tewatia who fell prey to the slower delivery! Captain Rashid Khan who was leading the team in place of injured Hardik Pandya walked in to bat at No.7 and it was absolute mayhem from the word go. He recorded his highest IPL score of 40 at a strike rate of 190.48 which took the pressure away from Miller. He smacked 23 runs off 5 deliveries in the bowling for Chris Jordan to make easy of the equation.
Bravo’s final over cost two wickets for the Titans including the price wicket of Rashid Khan who reduced the equation to 13 to win from 8 deliveries.
CSK braved Jordan to deliver it in the final over again. Miller smacked him for a six, four and finished the innings with a two runner with just 1 ball remaining in the innings! Jordan conceded 58 runs in his 3.5 overs.
