Team India limited overs squads against Windies announced

BCCI announced Team India limited overs squad for the home series against West Indies. Rohit Sharma is set to lead both ODI and T20I teams. Ravichandran Ashwin misses out as he is undergoing treatment.

18-member-squads are selected for both ODI and T20I series. The 3 match ODI series will begin on February 6th while the 3 match T20I series is set to begin from February 16th.

Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been omitted from ODIs but he was selected in the T20I squad. All-rounder Venkatesh Iyer also faced the same fate. Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav made his way  to the ODI squad.

The surprise pick in the ODI selection is Deepak Hooda. The Rajasthan captain has registered a run a ball 109 in his last List A outing. Ravi Bishnoi is another Rajasthan cricketer who earned his maiden International call up. He made his way in to both ODI and T20I units. Bishnoi was also picked by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the mega auction.

Pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been rested for the entire series while Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya are also side lined as they are still on the path to recovery.

All the ODI matches (Feb 6, 9 & 11) will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad while all the T20I matches (Feb 16, 18 & 20) will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
