England ODI squad & fixtures against Netherlands

A 14-member England ODI squad has been announced for the 3 match ODI series against Netherlands. The series will begin on June 17 and all the three matches will be played at Amstelveen. Eoin Morgan will lead the England squad.

This series will be England’s newly appointed white ball coach Matthew Mott’s first assignment. Sam Curran returns to the fold after missing out past few months with a back injury.

Luke Wood earned a maiden call up to the England squad. Gloucestershire’s David Payne is the other uncapped member of the squad, which will be captained by Eoin Morgan, though he was previously involved last summer when England faced Pakistan.

“I’m very excited to be coaching a strong squad for my first series in charge,” said Mott. “We have tremendous depth with a blend of youth and experience. We want to continue to play in an expressive style and let our players showcase their skills and firepower.

“Luke Wood deserves his call-up. He has been consistent for Lancashire over the past 12 months, and we have been monitoring his progression. If given a chance to play, I’m sure he will make most of his opportunity.”

England ODI Squad:

Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler, Brydon Carse, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, David Payne, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, David Willey, Luke Wood
