Ahmedabad franchise reveal their official team name
Ahmedabad franchise came up with a team name just a few days ahead of the Mega Auction 2022. Ahmedabad and Lucknow are the two latest entrants in to the marquee tournament and the latter have named themselves Lucknow Super Giants.
Ahmedabad franchise named their team ‘Gujarat Titans’. Hardik Pandya will lead the Titans with Vikram Solanki as the team director. The Titans have also grabbed Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill as ahead of the mega auction.
Gujarat Titans has been trending on social media and some trolls have already surfaced as it is taken from the Pro Kabaddi Legaue team Telugu Titans.
South Africa domestic circuit has a team named Titans representing the Gauteng province.
Official Team Ground:
Motera’s Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has been named the home ground for Gujarat Titans.
Ahmedabad Franchise Coaching Staff:
Surrey head coach and former England cricketer Vikram Solanki has been named the team director. Solanki was the first ever super sub used in ODI cricket history. The coaching staff has bee bolstered by the presence of Ashish Nehra and Gary Kirsten.
IPL Mega Auction date:
As per the official announcement by BCCI – the IPL Mega Auction 2022 will be heled at Bengaluru on 12th and 13th February after all the 10 teams have declared their final list of players.
