In Match 55 of 2012 IPL edition, Delhi Daredevils batters David Warner and Naman Ojha put on a massive unbeaten partnership of 189 runs chasing 188 against Deccan Chargers. Warner scored a century (109* off 54 balls – 10 fours & 7 sixes) while Naman Ojha tonked a fifty (64* off 46 balls – 2 fours & 5 sixes). Both these batsmen were later bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in auction.

In Match 67 of IPL 2012, Royal Challengers batters Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli put on a smashing unbeaten partnership of 204 runs for the second wicket which propelled their team to 215/1 in 20 overs. Chris Gayle posted a century at a strike rate of 2-6.45 while Virat Kohli gave him a good support with a 53-ball 73. RCB went on to win the match by 21 runs.

In Match 63 of IPL 2011, Kings XI Punjab batters Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh put on a 206 run stand for the second wicket. The Aussie combo smashed the RCB bowling attack apart which powered KXIP to 232/2 in 20 overs. Adam Gilchrist scored a century at a strike rate of 192.72 while Shaun Marsh remained not out on 79 off 49 balls. This was the first ever 200 partnership in Indian Premier League history!

RCB posted 235/1  in 20 overs – thanks to a sensational 133* off 59 balls by AB de Villiers and a riveting 82* off 50 balls by Virat Kohli. RCB went on to win the match by 39 runs.

In Match 44 of IPL 2016, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers stunned the Gujarat Lions bowling attack by smacking a 229-run stand for the second wicket in just 16 overs. This helped RCB to a mammoth 248/3 in 20 overs. Ab De Villiers walked in to bat at 19/1 in 3.5 overs at the exit of Chris Gayle. Both the batsmen steadily accelerated and unleashed their super-saiyan modes sporting RCB green jersey.

Virat Kohli scored 109 runs off 55 balls before departing while AB de Villiers faced 52 balls and smashed an unbeaten 129.
