Liam Livingstone waged a lone battle for Punjab Kings who were put to bat first by Kane Williamson. SRH pacers kept picking wickets at regular interavls as they reduced PBKS to 61-4 including a wicket to spinner Jagadeesha Suchith – that of former SRH batsman Jonny Bairstow.
Liam Livingstone and Shahrukh put on a 71-run stand for the fifth wicket. Livingstone was absolutely brutal in his approach as he smashed yet another quickfire fifty in the tournament. Shahrukh Khan departed after scoring 26 runs at a strike rate of 92.86. Odean Smith struggled to put bat on ball except for one six off Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhuvi picked the big wicket of Livingstone in the last ball of his bowling spell.
