England Test squad for the tour of West Indies announced

England Men’s selection panel, consisting of interim managing director Andrew Strauss, interim head coach Paul Collingwood and head scout James Taylor named 16-member squad to tour West Indies in March.

8 cricketers featuring in England’s Ashes squad have missed the cut for the tour of Caribbean. Both openers Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns didn’t make to the squad. Also among those dropped are pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad.

The tour resumes with a 4-day practice match at Coolidge Cricket Ground from March 1.

The first Test begins on March 8 in North Sound while the second Test is scheduled to begin on March 16 in Bridgetown, Barbados. The tour will conclude with the final Test scheduled to be played in St George’s, Grenada from March 24.
