The main leg of ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will kick off with defending champions Australia taking on runners-up New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground on October 22, 2022.

The high octane match up between India and Pakistan is set to take place at MCG on October 23, 2022.

ICC T20 WORLD CUP FIXTURES:

The tournament’s first round will be played in Geelong and Hobart and feature Sri Lanka and Namibia in Group A while two-time winners West Indies will be joined by Scotland in Group B. Four more qualified teams will be split across the two groups.

This edition of the T20 World Cup in Australia was originally scheduled to be played in 2020 but the tournament had to be postponed because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
