15 cricketers who used to play PUBG Mobile
Online Multiplayer game PUBG Mobile was released in December 2017 and immediately became a sensation within the Indian audience. It’s a well-known fact that PUBGM was played most amongst teenagers but what a lot of people don’t know is several cricketers enjoyed passing time playing the game and some others played it with professional esports players too!
Here is a list of 15 cricketers who used to play PUBGM :
1) Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal was known to be the cricketer most passionate about playing PUBG. He loved playing PUBG with other cricketers and other popular friends such as renowned rapper Raftaar, Popular Comedians Tanmay Bhatt ( AIB co-founder), and Samay Raina (co-winner of Comicstaan 2). Chahal appeared in several streams and a PUBGM tournament sponsored by OnePlus on their channels.
2) Smriti Mandhana, 3) Shreyas Iyer and 4) KL Rahul
Much like Yuzvendra Chahal, Smriti Mandhana, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul too joined Chahal in the OnePlus tournament streamed on OnePlus India’s channel. 4 of these cricketers played alongside professional esports athletes such as Scout, Dynamo Gaming, Jonathan Gaming, Godnixon, and famous actress Ahsaas Channa
5) Hardik Pandya
Hardik Pandya posted a paid promotion video for PUBG mobile on his Instagram handle where he was seen playing the game on his iPad. He revealed that ” PUBG mobile is a thing that I play every day, even after heavy practice sessions. It doesn’t even feel like you’re playing, it feels like you’re having fun”
6) Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma too posted a paid promotion video for PUBG mobile. In the video, he said ” Those were such nice days when we used to play cricket with our friends (referring to the lockdown imposed in 2020). A lot of chatters of PUBG have been going around, let me see what the hype is about” later in the video Rohit is seen playing the game. He then says “PUBG is really an entertaining game, I’m back with my friends on the playground”.

During a live season with Sportskeeda, Kuldeep Yadav revealed that he, Dhoni, Pant, and Pandey play pubg often to pass time. He also said he thinks Yuzi plays it the most and is the biggest fan.
11) Arjun Tendulkar
Arjun Tendulkar is an Indian cricketer and the son of Sachin Tendulkar. He is a left-handed fast bowler and left-handed batsman. He was seen playing PUBG mobile on a charity stream named #GamersStandWithIndia held to raise money for India in order to fight Covid 19. In the stream, he played alongside famous gaming and YouTube sensations like Tanmay Bhatt, Mortal, CarryMinati, Rawknee, Ashish Chanchlani, Dynamo Gaming, etc. He has posted many stories on Instagram describing his love for the game.

Former CSK all-rounder Kedar Jadav was said to be the one who inspired other cricketers and MS Dhoni to play the game. He is regarded as the IGL (in-game leader) as he apparently spent hours playing the game.

Team India’s key bowler Mohammad Shami was inspired by Kedar Jadav and other cricketers to play the game. He was often seen playing PUBG on his iPad.

15) Shikhar Dhawan
One of India’s most prominent openers and fielder Shikhar Dhawan was said to enjoy playing PUBG mobile with his wife. Apparently, he often used to play it with his teammates Shami, Yuzi, and Kedar to pass time while waiting at airports.
