Ravindra Jadeja teases with India’s WTC final jumper!
Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took to social media to sport Team India’s retro jumper for the finals of World Test Championship against New Zealand. The final will take place in Southampton from June 18-22.
Jadeja posted the pic saying – “Rewind to 90’s #lovingit #india”
Jadeja sported a sleeveless sweater which has no logo or sponsor (BYJU’S) with a clean “INDIA” text in the centre. Given the World Test Championship final is an International Cricket Council (ICC) event, an individual team’s sponsor cannot be displayed.
There is a small Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) logo on the left-hand side at breast-pocket level while on the right side is the ICC World Test Championship logo.
The retro design to which Jadeja is referring to comprises two stripes around the neck.
The current India team’s jumper doesn’t have stripes. The WTC jumper doesn’t have the sponsor’s name. Instead, it has India emblazoned in bold letters.
The ICC has already announced the rules and playing conditions for the finals of World Test Championship. in case of a tie/draw there will be joint winners and a reserve day is in play if the teams fail to make up for the time in the given five days of play.
My dream team will feature Marcus Trescothick and Anil Kumble
